River City Kings traveled Las Vegas to play in Pylon National 7on7 Tournament and made an unofficial college visit to UNLV

LAS VEGAS- The River City Kings flew across the country and competed in the nations fastest growing sport 7 on 7 football.

With flight delays and other unexpected delays the River City Kings went from the airport directly to the playing field going 4-0 during pool play.

A great start placed the Kings in the top of the double elimination tournament to start the second day of competition, it was clear the team from Florida was there to compete at a high level and dominate all opponents.

Led by QB Jack Allison, University of Miami commit, the Kings started day 2 of with back to back wins. Wideouts Kj Stephenson ,Tj Chase , Dj Matthews, Calvin Jackson and RB Hussein Howe kept the ball moving and points on the board.

The Kings finished with a 7-2 record taking 8th place out of 70 plus teams.

The UNLV football staff hosted the Kings on a campus tour of the football facilities and campus. There was one Jacksonville resident on the squad that knew several members of the Kings, Charles Henry Freshman CB from Raines High School.

The players got to visit with Head Coach Tony Sanchez former coach at Bishop Gormon, where Snoop Dogs son attended school along with Cedric Cormier recruiting coordinator and WR coach.

One of our sponsors Temeko Richardson owner of The RCL Group met us out in Vegas and surprised the team with personal Samsung tablets after the college visit at UNLV.

As we promote education and sports, our sponsors share that same vision and feel its necessary to invest in our future leaders from our communities.

This was a very successful trip and the Kings look forward to traveling again next year, to various tournaments all over the country.
