After more than a decade in the National Football League, Drayton Florence, Jr. announced his retirement May 1, 2015.
Florence also started the next chapter in his life and completed his degree at the University of North Florida earning the Bachelor of Science in Sports Management.
Drayton Florence, Jr. was drafted by the San Diego Chargers in the 2003 NFL Draft. He played college football at University of Tennessee-Chattanooga and Tuskegee University.

Jacksonville Jaguars
Buffalo Bills
Denver Broncos
Detroit Lions (twice)
Carolina Panthers
An April 23, 2013 Drayton Florence (along with Tuskegee University teammate and former NFL football player Frank Walker) was honored as one of the first two football players in the history of Tuskegee Athletics to get their numbers retired by the Tuskegee University Athletics Hall of Fame. Florence was honored for his football career at Tuskegee University and also recognized for his work with the Drayton Florence Foundation.
