Ocala, Florida’s Vanguard High School alumnus and 11 year NFL veteran Drayton Florence partners with Play N.Y.F.O (National Youth Football Organization) to bring 7on7 Youth Passing Leagues to Ocala, Gainesville, Orlando, Jacksonville and Clermont.
“7on7 is a safe and competitive way to develop our youth through techniques and fundamentals for all skill positions.
The recent information about CTE and brain trauma has parents, players and coaches concerned about player safety. This league will be a great alternative”.
Registration will be open January 1st, 2016. League play will began in March!!

The Drayton Florence Foundation and Marion County Children’s Alliance are dedicated to raising a healthier generation by educating children and families on healthy eating habits and the importance of fitness activities in their daily lives.
On August 22, 2015 Ocala was presented with the Annual “Glo With The Flo” 5K Glo Run, through the collaboration between Drayton Florence Foundation and MCCA. Historic downtown Ocala was illuminated with participants winding through its streets. Thank you to all the runners for coming out to support! We had a great time.

Proceeds of this event will allow us to continue providing accessible and affordable food and physical activity to our youth. One such event, The Back to School Bash, provides over 1800 families with free healthcare checks and school supplies.
Childhood obesity has become an epidemic among Marion County children and youth. A 2012 Marion County Health Department assessment of first, third and sixth-graders identified 26% as clinically obese and 19% as overweight – resulting in almost 46% of Marion County’s children being evaluated as overweight or worse!

The Drayton Florence Foundation and Clint Hart hosted the Punt, Pass, & Kick Play 7 Youth Competition in Ocala, Florida.
Punt, Pass, & Kick allows children ages 6-15 to experience the fun of learning football fundamentals in an engaging and supportive non-contact environment.

Drayton Florence Foundation supports a Kids Central Inc. fundraiser event
The Drayton Florence Foundation was a proud Goldfinger Sponsor of Kids Central Inc.’s Casino Royale fundraising event.
The Casino Royale 2015 – Kids Central wan evening of thrilling casino action benefiting abused and neglected children. The event was held Saturday, May 30, 2015 in Ocala, Florida.

After more than a decade in the National Football League, Drayton Florence, Jr. announced his retirement May 1, 2015.
Florence also started the next chapter in his life and completed his degree at the University of North Florida earning the Bachelor of Science in Sports Management.
Drayton Florence, Jr. was drafted by the San Diego Chargers in the 2003 NFL Draft. He played college football at University of Tennessee-Chattanooga and Tuskegee University.

An April 23, 2013 Drayton Florence (along with Tuskegee University teammate and former NFL football player Frank Walker) was honored as one of the first two football players in the history of Tuskegee Athletics to get their numbers retired by the Tuskegee University Athletics Hall of Fame. Florence was honored for his football career at Tuskegee University and also recognized for his work with the Drayton Florence Foundation.
